Bio
A respected health care professional, Beatrice Wemegah Gyebi brings more than 25 years to her role as a family nurse practitioner with Village Medical. Originally from Ghana, Beatrice has lived in the US for 30 years and has enjoyed life in the Houston area for 15 years.
Beatrice earned her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to this, she earned a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of California at Berkeley. Beatrice went on to earn her master’s in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Beatrice worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years, eight of which were within Memorial Hermann not-for-profit healthcare system. She also worked as a family nurse practitioner for five years before joining the Village Medical family. Beatrice's areas of clinical interest extend from primary care and family practice to pediatrics and rehabilitation. An active professional, Beatrice is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners (HANP) and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.
In addition to serving as a nurse in the US, Beatrice has worked in Angola, Ghana and Nigeria. She is married and has four children. When Beatrice is not working with patients or spending time with family, she enjoys singing, reading, and participating in church activities.
