Bio
Cathlyn Anderson, MD, (An-der-son) is originally from Kingsville, Texas, and she grew up in a Navy family. She received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University in College Station. She completed a dietetic internship through Texas A&M at Scott and White Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, Texas. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She also completed her Internal Medicine Residency at UTMB.
Dr. Anderson has practiced in Sugar Land for seventeen years. For eight years she practiced in primary care with an interest in diabetes and diabetes-related diseases. The last nine years, she worked in a diabetes specialty clinic. She is experienced with insulin pump therapy, continuous blood glucose monitors and gestational diabetes.
Dr. Anderson resides in Sugar Land with her husband and their three children. Their oldest child is a freshman in college and is in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Dr. Anderson has been a Girl Scout leader for nine years and her two boys are Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scouts. In her down time, Dr. Anderson enjoys volunteering with her children’s various teams and organizations.
