Dave Gowman, DO

Dave Gowman (pronounced “Day ve/Gow man”), DO, is devoted to the health and well-being of his patients. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Gowman started practicing in 1997 with clinical interests in cardiac imaging, cardio-oncology and lipidology.

Dr. Gowman earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Hope College in Holland, MI. He attended medical school at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed a residency in cardiology at Botsford Hospital (now Beaumont Hospital) in Farmington Hills, MI, and a residency in echocardiography with the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Gowman is board-certified in internal and cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is also board-certified in cardio-oncology by the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS), in lipidology by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology (ABCL), in echocardiography by the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and in nuclear cardiology and cardiac CTA by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). Dr. Gowman is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RVPI).

In addition, Dr. Gowman has served as chief of cardiovascular medicine and held a director of cardiovascular medicine fellowship. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and the International Cardio-Oncology Society National Lipid Association.  

On a personal note, Dr. Gowman enjoys golfing and time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
