Nurse practitioner Denise Sample (pronounced “Deh NIYZ / Sam puhl”) is committed to her patients’ health. She started practicing in 2010 with clinical interest in Family Practice and Integrative health.
She is a Duke trained integrative health coach and enjoys taking time to meet patients where they are and aims to get them the resources they need. Denise earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Phoenix College. She completed her master of science degree and nurse practitioner training from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she focused on primary care. Denise also completed integrative health coach training through Duke Health. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
On a personal note, Denise enjoys hiking, jogging, mindfulness and time with her pets. She is a member of her local symphony board and plays violin and guitar.
