Bio
Nurse practitioner Ihuoma Joshua (pronounced “Ehuoma / Jo shu ah”) has been caring for the health and wellbeing of adults since 2015. Ihuoma particularly enjoys establishing strong relationships with her patients to assist them in reaching their health goals. She has clinical interest in adult, adolescence and geriatric medicine. She also has clinical interest in chronic care management, especially diabetes management and education.
Ihuoma holds a masters in Nursing and completed her family nurse practitioner primary care training (FNP) from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY, where she graduated with honors. She obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Nassau community college, Garden City, NY. Ihuoma also holds a bachelors in accounting from Rivers State University in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is a certified member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Besides English, she is fluent in Igbo.
On a personal note, Ihuoma is married with three children. She enjoys exercising, going to the park, cooking/ baking with her children, reading and watching TV.
