Dr. John Morrow has been practicing family medicine since 1987, after he and his wife, Denise, returned from Kenya where they served as medical missionaries. Dr Morrow practiced family medicine in Austin for over 25 years and then he and Denise moved to Conroe in 2018 to be close to family. He continued to work in family medicine and joined Village Medical in the Conroe/Willis area in 2022. He is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and has a clinical interest in geriatrics.
Dr. Morrow completed his undergraduate degree in biology at North Texas University in Denton, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He completed his family medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy Family Physicians and Texas Medical Association. He received the 2013 John McGovern/Texas Medical Foundation Champion of Health and the 2014 Humanitarian of the Year/Travis County Medical Society for the development of the Hope Clinic and Get Up Project which make up a 501c3 that serves the underinsured, uninsured and political and religious refugees that reside in Austin and surrounding communities.
In their spare time, John and Denise like to garden, bird watch and paint as well as spend time with their children and grandchildren.
