Ruben Ayala (pronounced “Ruu ben /Ay ala”), MD, is committed to his patients’ wellbeing. He started practicing in 1997 in El Salvador and in 2010 in the United States with clinical interest in internal medicine, family medicine and geriatrics.
Dr. Ayala earned his medical degree at the University of El Salvador in San Salvador, El Salvador, and completed his first residency in internal medicine at the Social Security Hospital in El Salvador. He completed a second residency in family medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, TX. Dr. Ayala is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Ayala enjoys time with his family, watching movies & football, hiking, jogging, playing soccer and cycling. He is also fluent in Spanish.
