Katherine Erdman, PA-C

Physician assistant Katherine Erdman (pronounced “Kath er in/ Urd man”), has been caring for the health and wellbeing of patients since 1995. She has clinical interest in rheumatology, psychiatry and mental health, disease prevention and patient health literacy.

Katherine completed her undergraduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus in internal medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Katherine has also completed post-graduate courses and is certified as a physician assistant (PA-C) with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Katherine has earned the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA) PA Educator of the Year award as well as a writing award from the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition, she is a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (DFAAPA).

Katherine has served in several professorship roles for Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, TX, and has served in numerous director and leadership positions, including Program Director of BCM's physician assistant program. Katherine is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), TAPA (Texas Academy of Physician Assistants), Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), -the Physician Assistant History Society, and the Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association (TGCPAA).

On a personal note, Katherine worked as a graphic artist and art teacher as well as a freelance illustrator before pursuing a career in medicine. She loves animals and enjoys art, movies and reading anything related to medicine.
