Larry Schmidt, PTA

Larry Schmidt, PTA, is a native of Texas, having grown up outside Ft. Worth, Texas. He attended Aledo High School, graduating in 1989. He went on to study at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he majored in psychology.

While watching his grandfather go through physical therapy after a stroke, he decided that physical therapy was his true calling. Larry was accepted to the Physical Therapist Assistants Program at Austin Community College in 1998, where he graduated in 2000.

Larry moved to Houston in 2001, where he began working in various disciplines of physical therapy. He enjoys working in outpatient orthopedic and post-surgical care. Larry’s professional interests include spinal mobilizations, shiatsu and soft tissue work. Larry’s number-one goal is for his clients to leave his care with an understanding that regular physical activity can greatly improve their quality of life.

Outside of the office, Larry enjoys Boy Scouts, sports, and band activities with his son. Austin. He also enjoys visiting his step-daughter, Sierra, who attends Texas A&M.

Larry and his wife, Melissa, are often found outside taking in the beautiful weather and hanging out with their kids. Larry also enjoys grilling, surfing and exercising. His favorite things to watch on television are his Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Titans football teams. Larry and his family currently reside in Richmond, Texas with their three fur babies.
