Nurse Practitioner Madelin Arteaga Ocana (pronounced “Oh-can-na”) began practicing in 2021 with a focus on primary medicine. She is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She started practicing in 1997 in her home country (Cuba). Her clinical interests include the management of chronic conditions such as Thyroid diseases, Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood pressure) also Hypercholesterolemia and Hypertriglyceridemia (High Cholesterol and Triglycerides) and performing physical exams, well woman exams, well child exams and Medicare annual wellness visits.
Madelin received her Master of Science degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner from Ana G. Mendez University, where she is currently enrolled in a Doctorate Program (DNP). Prior to becoming a Nurse practitioner, Madelin earned her medical degree (DMD) in Cuba at the “Carlos J. Finlay” University of Medical Sciences Of Camaguey. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse practitioner.
In addition to English, Madelin speaks fluent Spanish.
