Bio
Nurse practitioner Melanie Vanhook (pronounced “Mel an ee/Van hook”) is committed to her patients’ health and wellbeing. She started practicing as a registered nurse in 1997 and as a family nurse practitioner in 2006. Her areas of clinical interest include urgent care and geriatrics.
Melanie earned her undergraduate degree from Otero College in La Junta, CO, and the University of Phoenix in Colorado Springs, CO and. She obtained her master’s degree and family nurse practitioner training at Graceland University in Independence, MO. Melanie is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and was recognized as employee of the year for her work in 2019.
On a personal note, Melanie is married with two adult children. She enjoys time with her family, being outside, skiing, paddle boarding and working in her garden.
