Rachael Roberts, MD

Rachael Roberts (pronounced RAY chull / R AH b er t s ), MD, MHSA has been caring for the health and well-being of adults since 2011. Dr. Roberts is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to adults and seniors. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, including management of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. Dr. Roberts also has an emphasis on women’s health and underserved populations.

Dr. Roberts earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (Engineering) at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. She then attended St. Matthew's University School of Medicine earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD), as well as a Master’s in Health Service Administration (MHSA) through a joint program with St. Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish, MA. During medical school, Dr. Roberts worked as a Physician Research Associate at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. During this time, she participated in and published numerous medical research projects and initiatives including mesothelioma research, lung nodule detection and adrenal gland disorders and their treatment. She then went on to completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Science Center in Lafayette, LA.

Dr. Roberts’ professional affiliations include the American Medical Association (AMA), the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). She is a committee member for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation currently, and was previously the President of the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS).

In her free time, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano and dancing (salsa and ballet). She holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She plays tennis and golf, enjoys cooking and is an artist who enjoys both creating as well as collecting art.
