Bio
As a certified family nurse practitioner, Rela Neely (Nee-lee) works diligently to advocate for her patients and guide them in pursuing stronger, healthier lives. Rela began practicing medicine in 2006, with clinical interests in diabetes, weight loss, general wellness, hypertension and thyroid disorders. She works with patients ranging from infants to adults, performing adult physical exams, well-woman exams, well-child exams and Medicare annual wellness visits.
Rela obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis with a major in nursing. She then earned her master’s degree in nursing, also from the University of Memphis. Rela is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the Texas Nurse Practitioners and the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners.
When she’s not helping her patients, Rela enjoys cooking, traveling and planning special events for family and friends. She likes watching football, and particularly enjoys cheering on her son when he plays. Rela and her family also enjoy exploring the city of Houston and surrounding areas. They relocated from Memphis in 2011, and have loved learning about all the various cultures that make the Houston area great.
