Dr. Sameena Zahoor (pronounced “SUH-mee-nuh ZAH-hoor”) is focused on family medicine and has clinical interests in preventive health, chronic disease management, mental illness and women's health. She began practicing in 2000.
Dr. Zahoor received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Michigan, in Dearborn, went to medical school at the Wayne State School of Medicine, in Detroit, and she completed a family medicine residency at Oakwood Hospital, in Dearborn. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and is also certified in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Dr. Zahoor is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
Dr. Zahoor is married, has three boys and is a licensed foster parent. She enjoys reading, traveling and is an amateur artist and photographer. She has also been a volunteer at a free clinic, Hope Medical Clinic, in Westland, Michigan, since 2012.
