Bio
A highly regarded health professional, Sarah Locke (L-ock) applies her executive nursing skills, business training and nursing experience to ensure that Village Medical patients receive the highest quality of personal and professional care. She is committed to leading positive change throughout healthcare.
Sarah holds a doctor of nursing (DNP) degree, advanced practice leadership track, from Chamberlain University. She began her academic pursuits at the University of Miami, where she studied nursing. She then attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston to earn her master’s degree and become a family nurse practitioner. In addition, she attended the University of Colorado in Denver for her executive master’s degree in business administration (MBA), in health administration.
Sarah had worked in healthcare for more than 20 years when she became part of the Village Medical team. Her clinical interests include immunizations and process improvement. She’s a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC), and holds nurse executive board certification (NE-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also holds registered nurse certification in both inpatient obstetrics (RNC-OB) and electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM). In addition, she is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and neonatal resuscitation (NRP).
Sarah has been recognized for her professional achievements with induction into Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. In addition, she serves as a faculty member and on various nursing boards. Sarah is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the National League for Nursing (NLN), the Arizona Organization for Nurse Leaders (AzONL) and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
