Bio
Nurse practitioner Tracie Kirkland (pronounced “Tray see/Kirk land”) is dedicated to her patients’ health and providing innovative treatment and support for her patients across the continuum of care. She started practicing in 1998 with clinical interest in pediatrics, adult medicine, geriatrics and the social determinants of health. Tracie works across the continuum of care, treating adults, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
Tracie earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. She then completed her master’s degree in nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She earned a post-master's adult nurse practitioner certificate (ANP-BC) and pediatric nurse practitioner certification (CPNP, PNP-BC) training from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Tracie also completed her doctorate of nursing practice at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. Tracie is a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), the Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
On a personal note, Tracie is dedicated to community service and improving health outcomes in communities. She enjoys spending time with her family and devoting time to worship.
