Bio
Viresh Yogesh Patel, MD, has a passion for improving the lives of his patients. With a specialization in internal medicine and pediatrics, his certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). He’s a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP), Texas Medical Association (TMA) and Harris County Medical Society (HCMS).
Dr. Patel received his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology at the University of Texas at Austin in 2004, and also studied business. He then attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, and finished his final two years of medical school in 2010 at St. Joseph’s Healthcare System in Paterson, NJ. He completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, in 2014. In his final year he was selected by his peers and staff in the internal medicine program as the top resident in his program.
During his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, his two children and his dog. He also plays tennis and watches sports on the weekend. He likes to travel internationally whenever he can.
