Dr. Yelena Makori (pronounced “Ye-LA-na Ma-kory”) began practicing in 2012 with a focus on internal medicine, and clinical interest in women's health, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. She is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Makori received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, attended medical school at University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, KY, and completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, with a focus on internal medicine.
On a personal note, Dr. Makori enjoys cooking, and maintaining a fruit and vegetable garden.
