Bio
Family nurse practitioner Yeshimebet Meshesha (pronounced “Yuh she muh bait / Mesh esh ah ”) is dedicated to providing her patients with quality care. She started practicing in 2017 with clinical interest in family medicine.
Yeshimebet earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Houston Baptist University in Houston, TX. She completed her master’s degree and nurse practitioner training at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) College of Nursing in Houston. She is an advanced practitioner registered nurse (APRN) and board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She also has medical-surgical nursing certification and is certified in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke. Yeshimebet is a member of the Texas Nurses Association (TNA) and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP). She earned the 2017 faculty award at PVAMU College of Nursing. She is also fluent in Amharic and Tigrinya.
On a personal note, Yeshimebet enjoys time with her family, particularly her nieces and nephews. In addition, she enjoys traveling and volunteering. She also knows conversational Spanish and Arabic.
